How does it work?
It replaces your 2kW/3kW heater on your hot tub. Simply put, an air source heat pump takes the outside air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a compressor. It then transfers that heat to your hot tub. More information on how it works is below:
The fan on the air source heat pump draws air over tubes that have refrigerant in them, turning the refrigerant liquid into a gas.The refrigerant is then compressed using the electric pump, which significantly increases its temperature.It’s then passed into a heat exchanger which transfers that heat to your hot tub as the hot tub water passes very close to it.The refrigerant gas in the heat pump cools and turns back into a liquid when it passes through the pressure valve, starting the process again.
